Having blogged consistently now for almost five months, I feel like I can call myself a “blogger.” As I’ve learned more about blogging and met other bloggers, I’ve gotten a sense of some of the funny quirks of the art.
You know you’re a blogger when:
1. You take pictures of every major life event “for the blog.”
2. You’ve gotten in the habit of calling your significant other some sort of mysterious pseudonym like “the man.”
3. In conversations, you sometimes start sentences with “You might have seen it on my blog but…”
4. You know the difference between “roflcopter” and “rafflecopter.”
5. When you hear “Passionfruit,” you don’t actually think of fruit.
6. You pay to have a big clickable picture of your face on someone else’s website. No one else thinks this is weird.
7. Your “leisure” reading consists of HTML how-to’s.
8. Buying new products of any sort makes you really excited because you can write about them later.
9. People ask you why you use social media so much and you get defensive.
It’s a funny thing, being a blogger. Literally just writing about your life and putting it up for the world to see. But I guess it’s interesting to someone…you’re reading this, aren’t you? 🙂 If you’re a blogger, can you relate?
Reblogged this on ISpontein and commented:
Those who’re new or ask me things about blogging, this will clear some of your doubts… LOL

Top-n lists are always fun, particularly “You know you are a BLANK when…”
I related most closely to points 1, 3, and 8 (to some extent). I could probably create my own list of nine, but we’ll see if that gets inspired by any of the songs I hear in the next 29 days…

Hi Taylor!
Love your blog so much, this is so accurate! I was just wondering about your button for the Her Campus Blogger Network – I’ve seen it a bunch before and was considering applying but there’s literally no information online. I looked for a message option for you but there wasn’t any, I’d love if you could let me know some info though!

Hi Alyssa!
Thanks for reading!! You should definitely apply. The network has been invaluable in my blogging experience. The community of bloggers you meet through the network is amazing, and they are so willing to help you with any questions you might have about blogging as well as in growing your blog. The network is for women ages 18-30, and you get visibility on the Her Campus website as well as special offers for sponsorships and more. If you’re interested, definitely apply! Here’s the link: http://www.hercampus.com/her-campus-blogger-network Let me know if you end up applying, and if you have any more questions, email me at pinstripesandlipglossblog@gmail.com 🙂
Xoxo,
Taylor

I DIED. All of the above are so scarily accurate. Excuse me while I procrastinate via YouTube “Make Bank Quick via Blogging” tutorials and the like. HA.
Addendum to your list:
– You show up at your best friend’s apartment to gossip about other bloggers, make tea and chocolate (and tweet about said tea and chocolate), share tips about improving blog-related activities, plan adventures to inevitably be blogged about, and conduct late night photoshoots for ze blog. HA.
